The Alchemist’s Story

Based in the South West of England, spanning between Devon & Cornwall, Alchemy Kitchens consists of two long-term friends and business partners, Myles Chapman and Geoff Connett. Whilst this is a new partnership between old friends, this venture is FAR from the beginning, and with over two decades of combined experience, Alchemy Kitchens draws upon the combined experience of two craftsmen into one place. Myles Chapman

Myles began his career in bespoke joinery in 2012, undertaking an apprenticeship under Jonathan Thomas in Camelford, North Cornwall. Over four years, he refined his craft at the intersection of modern design and traditional techniques, culminating in an NVQ Level 3 in Architectural Joinery. During this foundational period, his exceptional talent was recognized with a prestigious national award from the CITB, distinguishing him among aspiring joiners across the country.

In 2016, Myles transitioned into specialist kitchen craftsmanship with Nine Design, an esteemed firm previously featured on Grand Designs. In this role, he was instrumental in the end-to-end creation of bespoke cabinetry—mastering complex processes from veneering and laminating sheet material to precision spray finishing and final assembly. His work directly contributed to high-end installations commissioned for exclusive residences in areas such as London’s Maida Vale.

Expanding his expertise, Myles advanced into dedicated kitchen installation in 2018. Since then, he has expertly fitted a diverse portfolio of kitchens, executing seamless installations for prominent brands including Magnet, DIY Kitchens, Kettle Co Kitchens, and Wren. Today, Myles continues to leverage this extensive manufacturing and installation background, having established a sterling reputation for precision, reliability, and unparalleled craftsmanship throughout the region.

Geoff Connett

Prior to 2017, Geoff developed his foundational expertise as a professional plasterer—a highly sought-after discipline that seamlessly complements premium kitchen installation. Building upon a decades-long friendship, Geoff subsequently partnered with Myles to undergo an intensive, rigorous training program. This mentorship facilitated a rapid and comprehensive transfer of Myles’ extensive industry knowledge and technical acumen.

In the years since, Geoff has established an exceptional track record of his own, consistently delivering versatile, high-quality installation services to hundreds of clients across a broad spectrum of demanding projects.

Earlier this year, Geoff approached Myles with an innovative collaborative concept. Recognizing the perfect synergy between their complementary skill sets and a shared commitment to exacting standards, the timing was ideal to officially unite their expertise—a vision that has now materialized as Alchemy Kitchens.
